The Four Foundations Of My Style

My photography style is built on four key principles: 1) honouring emotions, 2) storytelling, 3) creativity, and 4) showcasing beauty. I believe that each of these elements are essential to delivering a complete wedding photography experience.

Honouring Love and Emotion
Honouring love and emotion is at the heart of what I do. My aim is to create timeless images that allow you to relive the emotions of your special day each time you view them. I focus on capturing not only the grand moments but also the small, intimate details that make your love story unique. My work celebrates not just the bond between the couple, but also the connections with their families, wedding parties, and loved ones.

Storytelling
Storytelling is central to my approach. Wedding photojournalism requires a keen awareness of the surroundings, an understanding of human behaviour, and a good deal of patience. Each photograph we take aims to capture an emotion, convey a narrative, or express a particular mood or feeling. This is why you won’t find me taking random shots, like catching you in the act of eating.

I am always paying close attention to the environment, listening in on conversations and anticipating that smile, laugh, tear, or hug.

Creativity and Uniqueness
My creative style means that I always seek unique perspectives, angles, and approaches to a scene.  I’m always in search of reflections, silhouettes, foregrounds, perfect symmetry, and juxtapositions, you’ll see me sneaking behind objects, shooting off mirrors, and finding different perspectives.  Whatever it takes to get the shot!  The idea is to turn ordinary into extraordinary through finding the interest of the composition in a scene that the average eye may not notice.

Capturing Beauty
One of my primary goals is to capture the beauty of your special day. I believe that every moment and detail of your wedding deserves to be portrayed in the most stunning way possible. This involves carefully refining poses for natural and flattering results, selecting attractive and complementary backdrops, and dedicating time to perfect each shot.
